SOLD.
The luxury of Upper Egypt's manor life unfolds as Jamila, adorned in gleaming gold, commands attention. Anubis, her silent guard (God of protection in Ancient Egypt), casts an ominous shadow, deterring all but the bravest from approaching the regal scene.

The rug on the floor is called Klim that is usually hand made in Egypt and has Egyptian motifs as well as the cushions on the sofa.
The beautiful red dress is full of Nubian Egyptian motifs too.

His soul kept whispering, inviting him to just take a close look inside, follow it’s mysterious signs and accept it’s madness.
It kept staring at him with it’s gazing wide eyes, very curious and surprised as if it could barley recognise him.
He got lost in his own soul’s eyes for hours and hours, and totally surrenderd to it’s appeal."
The viewer is looking inside at his/her own soul like someone looking from the door eye hole.
I chose a rooster to symbolise the viewer's soul because it's crowing to wake him up from his very long coma , and it's head is basically a large eye staring back at the viewer.
A very mysterious world inside full of fantasy. The viewer forgot everything about his inner world and life turned him into a very basic and ordinary person.

Hymns of Cairo
60X50 cm. Oil on canvas.
SOLD.
It’s late in the evening in Old Cairo, the lady in the painting is wearing a fez while playing on her Oud some oriental hymns. Standing on the top leaf of the Monestera beside her is a beautiful colourful bird singing with the music. The Fez came to Egypt in the 19th century and was worn only by men signifying power and status for the wearer. Believing in Women’s empowerment it felt right picturing a strong Egyptian woman in control and marching on her own drum beat! You could feel the late evening summer breeze by looking at the shades of blue.

Some people are like home, just their presence calms you even in the most critical times. The characters in the painting represents a couple or 2 close friends. One of them is upside down struggling, going through a tough time, the person lost control and balance over his/her life. The other one is stable with his/her heavy feet fixed to the ground and holding the other one tight with so much love and care preventing him to flip or fly away. Home is a shelter from storms. The blue is the shelter and home of the green one. The structure of the elements in the painting - including the red and white rectangles- forms a cross. Cross represents Salvation= Saving. The one in blue is saving the one in green. The one in blue has a bandage gown to represent that he is not a super hero or immune to pain and struggle, Although he might have his own pain and hurt, he is still there for the other one in complete devotion and self sacrifice refusing to let go.
